CORRIGENDUM

Volume 30, June 2004

Pages L1154–L1160: Karle C, Gehrig T, Wodopia R, Höschele S, Kreye VAW, Katus HA, Bärtsch P, and Mairbäurl H. "Hypoxia-induced inhibition of whole cell membrane currents and ion transport of A549 cells." While this manuscript was in peer review, the article "Large conductance Ca2+-activated K+ channels sense acute changes in oxygen tension in alveolar epithelial cells" by Jovanovic S, Crawford RM, Ranki HJ, and Jovanovic A appeared in another journal (Am J Respir Cell Mol Biol 28: 363–372, 2003). The paper by Jovanovic et al. nicely describes the inhibition of maxi-K channels by hypoxia and iberiotoxin, a result very similar to that reported by Karle et al. Due to an oversight, this reference was not added to the galley proof.
