Corrigenda

Volume 33, August 2005

Pages L349–L354: Maron MB, Folkesson HG, Stader SM, and Walro JM: "PKA delivery to the distal lung air spaces increases alveolar liquid clearance after isoproterenol-induced alveolar epithelial PKA desensitization" (http://ajplung.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/289/2/L349). On page L351, in the second paragraph of DISCUSSION, the following should appear as one complete sentence: "This result indicates that the impaired ability of Sp-8-bromo-cAMPS to increase ALC that occurs in Iso-infused rats (19) (Fig. 2) represents defective PKA signaling rather than desensitization at points downstream of PKA."

Volume 32, February 2005

Pages L379–L383: Rüdiger M, Tölle A, Meier W, and Rüstow B: "Naturally derived commercial surfactants differ in composition of surfactant lipids and in surface viscosity" (http://ajplung.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/288/2/L379). On page L381, Fig. 1 was erroneously published as a duplicate of Fig. 2; therefore, the correct Fig. 1 follows. The legend remains the same.

Fig. 1. Relationship between surface tension ({gamma}) and damping constant (b) of natural surfactant preparations measured with an oscillating drop surfactometer. The drop was covered with Survanta ({blacktriangleup}), with Alveofact ({triangledown}), or with Curosurf ({bullet}). The bars show SD of at least 3 independent experiments (n = 3).
