Cover: Thick tissue section (60 mm) stained with hematoxylin and eosin and observed with a three-dimensional microscope equipped with fluorescence illumination. Focal aggregates of darkly stained dots are infiltrates of leukocytes located in the lumen of the intrapulmonary artery and in the peribronchovascular connective tissue sheath associated with the neighboring airway.
